The Ambassador of Mexico pays visit to the Warsaw University of Technology

On 17th October 2016 the Warsaw University of Technology hosted Alejandro Negrin Munoz, ambassador of Mexico. Ambassador’s Munoz ambition is to intensify cooperation between Polish and Mexican universities, especially in the area of engineering and technology.

So far, cooperation between the Warsaw University of Technology and Mexican universities was limited to the Faculty of Production Engineering (exchange of students and staff). However, considering the potential of Mexican universities, the broadening of cooperation to new areas such as energy, aviation, ICT is in the field of interest to Warsaw University of Technology - both in terms of educational cooperation and scientific research.

Mr. Munoz presented the mechanisms for supporting universities interested in cooperation and assured that he will try to obtain new sources of financial support on both Mexican and Polish side.

Prof. Jan Szmidt expressed great interest, both from the Warsaw University of Technology’s side and universities gathered in CRASP,  in expansion of cooperation and taking action to promote joint ventures with Polish and Mexican universities.
