Ten finalists – PhD students from WUT – face quite a challenge: in just three minutes, they must present their research to the jury and the audience. How will they do? Join us on 28 November 2025 from 14:00 to 17:00 (on-site or online) and find out! The event will be held in English.

The finalists are:

  • Hussien Ahmedelbadawi – Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering
  • Daria Brun – Faculty of Management; Management and Quality Studies
  • Emeka Chijioke – Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering
  • Aleksandra Godlewska – Faculty of Chemistry; Chemical Sciences

They must present their research in a way that is interesting, engaging, accessible, and understandable to an audience without specialist knowledge of the topic or field.

The performances will be judged by a jury consisting of: Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Director of the Doctoral School Prof. Aneta Pobudkowska-Mirecka, Prof. Wojciech Wróbel, and science journalist and popularizer Radosław Brzózka.

Attractive prizes await the best participants: they will be awarded to the top three, the winner of the audience vote, and the recipient of the special prize.

See you on 28 November at Rektorska 4 (lecture hall 1.01) and online!

Three Minute Thesis® (3MT) is a competition held at universities around the world. It was created by the University of Queensland in 2008 and is now organized at nearly 1,000 institutions. It is aimed at PhD students.

This is the second edition of the 3MT® competition at the Warsaw University of Technology – the first was won by Natalia Izdebska, who later also won the Polish edition of another science communication contest, FameLab, and is representing Poland in the international final.

The 3MT® competition at WUT is organized as part of the "Excellence Initiative – Research University" project at the Warsaw University of Technology.
