WUT at the Women in Tech Summit 2023
We will be one of the exhibitors at an international event in the areas of STEM, Tech & IT. At our stand we will present the Warsaw University of Technology, its educational, research and technological offer. You are invited on 14 and 15 June to the hall of Expo XXI.
This year's Women in Tech Summit Perspectives will focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning, deep tech, cloud solutions, quantum computing and digital ecology, as well as WEB 3.0 and NFT. The program of the event will include, among others, speeches by 150 speakers, workshops and career fairs with the participation of technology companies and the best technical universities in Poland, and the possibility of networking.
At the WUT stand, you will be able to talk to students, doctoral students and employees.
Students will talk about the education offer, student life at PW, activities in the Students’ Self-Government, student research associations, opportunities offered by membership of our University in the ENHANCE alliance of European universities. They will show their projects and share specialist knowledge. The student research association Humonoid will open up the world of robotics (and present their humanoid robot) and the secrets of AI will be uncovered by the Golem Artificial Intelligence Student Research Association.
What and how to study at the Warsaw University of Technology you will be able to learn from the representative of the Centre for International Cooperation and the Distance-Learning Centre. Post-graduate studies IT World (connected with widely understood computer science, requirements engineering, business analysis, cloud data analysis, cloud artificial intelligence, business intelligence and low code / no code tools) will be presented by a team from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering: Krzysztof Marek, MSc, Zuzanna Godlewska and Professor Włodzimierz Dąbrowski.
At the PW stand, you will be able to meet researchers from other PW faculties.
Marta Jarczewska, PhD, from the Faculty of Chemistry, will talk about research done in the Chair of Medical Biotechnology, and about admissions to first- and second-cycle programmes, the second-cycle study programme Materials Science and Electrochemistry within the MESC+ programme and the Doctoral School. What do scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry working at the Chair of Drug and Cosmetics Biotechnology do? Anna Sobiepanek, PhD, will explain.
With Mateusz Modrzejewski, PhD, scientist from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology and a drummer, you will be able to talk about artificial intelligence (for example about its applications in multimedia data processing such as sound, music, image and text), deep neural networks or generative models (such as large language models LLM like ChatGPT). The PW researcher will also explain how to learn programming from scratch to gaining the first job in the profession.
Milena Ojrzyńska, MSc, from the Faculty of Physics will be your guide into the world of carbon nanomaterials.
The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering will be represented by Magdalena Jurczyk-Kowalska, PhD and Ewa Ura-Bińczyk, PhD. Our researchers will talk about various issues related to materials engineering.
