Warsaw University of Technology participated in one of the leading conferences in Europe, devoted to aspects of security and defense policy and the armaments sector. Scientists from WUT presented their projects, participated in discussions, meetings and debates. Our University was one of the main partner of the event.

During the Defence24 Day conference, participants could see two projects of the Warsaw University of Technology: a radar for imaging the earth’s surface The XY-SAR Sensor (prepared by the spin-off company XY-Sensing) and the demonstrator of the inertial navigation support system (a project prepared by Damian Gromek, PhD Eng. from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology). Visitors could also learn about the technological possibilities of CEZAMAT laboratories.

Our scientists also participated in presentations and debates.

Professor Adam Woźniak, Vice-Rector for Development at WUT presented the potential of cooperation between science and the military sector in the presentation block “Modernization of the Air Defense Forces”.

Professor Romuald Beck, Deputy director for science from CEZAMAT participated in the debate “The battlefield of the future. Towards breakthrough and emerging technologies”. Prof. Beck was talking about the tools and possibilities of financing small-scale production of integrated circuits at CEZAMAT.

The team of the CEZAMAT was responsible for organizing the participation of the Warsaw University of Technology at the Defence24 Day.
