WUT goes up in the QS WUR ranking
It is a ranking of the best universities in the world.
In the latest QS World University Ranking, the Warsaw University of Technology has been ranked 501-510 (going up from the group 511-520, compared with the last year’s ranking). We also still have the third place among Polish universities.
The ranking includes 1300 best universities all over the world (145 more universities than last year), including 19 from Poland (two new Polish universities: Lublin University of Technology and the University of Białystok). The highest ranking among Polish universities has been achieved by Warsaw University (308th place) and the Jagiellonian University (309th place).
The QS WUR ranking covers six metrics: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. The ranking is drawn up by the company Quacquarelli Symonds, which specialises in education and international degree programmes.
The best universities in the world in the ranking are: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1st place), University of Oxford (2nd place) and Stanford University and University of Cambridge (3rd joint place). The top places are generally taken by universities from the United States and Great Britain, but also some institutions from Switzerland, Singapore and China.
QS WUR is one of the most important world education rankings, along with Times Higher Education, Shanghai Ranking and US News Best Global Universities Ranking.
