WUT in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026

In the latest edition of the QS by Subject ranking, we once again took first place in Poland in the Engineering & Technology area. We maintained third place in the country in the Natural Sciences area.

We now know the results of the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, one of the most prestigious university rankings worldwide. This year’s edition includes 1,912 institutions out of 6,277 analysed, representing more than 160 countries and classified across 55 academic disciplines. Poland is represented by 32 universities.

As in the previous year, the Warsaw University of Technology was included in 11 academic disciplines out of the 16 analysed. We also appeared in two broad subject areas: Engineering and Technology, where we ranked 231st worldwide and 1st in Poland, and Natural Sciences, where we ranked 350th worldwide and 3rd in Poland.

The highest‑ranked disciplines were Architecture and Built Environment, and Mechanical Engineering. They were followed by Civil and Structural Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Materials Science.
