On a daily basis Cornelia acts as a member of the Robotics Student Research Group (operating at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering). In 2019, her robot called “Wisienka” (literally: Cherry) was awarded in turn first place in the MiniSumo category during Robomaticon, first place at the EastRobo competition in Białystok and came second in the MiniSumo category during the “Baltic Robo Battles.”

Also other projects that have been created as part of the Robotics Scientific Research Group have received prestigious awards. These include the 6th place in the Carolo-Cup 2019 — an international competition held in Germany where autonomous small-scale cars competed. In 2019, at the RoboChallenge in Romania and during the International Sumo Challenge Robot Competition in Łódź, Melson Robot did great. He won 3 prizes in both tournaments.
 

Juliusz Bojarczuk, the chairman of the FiberTeam Research Group at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology, is also among the finalists.

He has the record of several publications, for example in the Optics Letters journal, articles in conference proceedings, as well as a paper presented at the Joint Symposium on Photonics, Web Engineering, Electronics for Astronomy and High Energy Physics Experiments in Wilga.

He is currently engaged in two scientific projects. One of them is financed by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) as part of the Leader X competition, the other is a project financed by the National Science Centre (NCN) under the leadership of Grzegorz Stępniak, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng. Juliusz is also a member of the following international organizations: IEEE and Optical Society of America.

In 2019, the FiberTeam Research Group received the title of the Debut of the Year in the StRuNa competition.
 

The Noble Prize winners will be selected from among the finalists on July 24, 2020 during the Final Gala, which will take place online and will be broadcast live on the fan pages of the Nobel Prize for Students and the Independent Students’ Association (NZS).
