Warsaw University of Technology in the CWUR ranking

WUT was ranked the 686th (up 31 places) in the international CWUR (The Center for World University Ranking). We took the fifth position in Poland, three universities and one research institute were classified ahead of us.

This year's ranking includes nearly 2,000 of the best universities and research institutions from around the world, including 40 from Poland. The best Polish universities are the Jagiellonian University (376th), the University of Warsaw (394th), and the AGH University of Science and Technology Cracow (606th).

The Warsaw University of Technology was additionally classified on the 351st position in the quality of education criterion. This is the best result among Polish universities.

US universities top the ranking: Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University took the first, second and third place respectively. Altogether, there are as many as 16 US universities in the top 20.

The CWUR ranking takes into account four main criteria. These include: the quality of education, alumni employment (measured by the number of graduates in executive positions in global companies), quality of faculty, research performance (measured by the total number of research papers, the number of research papers published in the best journals, the influence of these publications, and the number of citations).
