Prof. Artur Kasprzak from Warsaw University of Technology’s Faculty of Chemistry has joined the Editorial Advisory Board of Dalton Transactions, a journal published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, an institution of global standing.
Students of the Faculty of Management – Veronika Stefaniak, Maksymilian Życiński and Mikołaj Piernicki – together with their supervisor, Mirosław Wójcik, took part in the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “Future of Work”. The programme was organised by UC Leuven‑Limburg University of Applied Sciences in Diepenbeek, Belgium, and ran from 9 to 13 March 2026.
Our graduate, Piotr Falkowski, PhD, is developing two projects aimed at facilitating remote rehabilitation for patients. The initial idea for creating rehabilitation robots grew out of his industrial PhD carried out at the Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with the Łukasiewicz Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements. Recently, both tools have received awards and have been presented at international exhibitions.
The Organza Student Research Group, operating at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology, carries out research projects at the intersection of engineering and design. The team’s main scientific focus includes wearable technologies and advanced sensors applied directly to textile materials. Beyond laboratory work, the organisation is active in building a community around the fashion sector through numerous events and socially oriented initiatives.
Research on porphyrin derivatives is opening new perspectives in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The project carried out by researchers from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Warsaw University of Technology, implemented under the National Science Centre SONATA 19 competition, focuses on the synthesis of hybrid porphyrin–sugar glycoconjugates. These compounds may combine the ability of porphyrins to generate reactive oxygen species with improved solubility and increased biological selectivity.
Maksymilian Paczyński and Krzysztof Dąbrowski, students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science, together with their team, won the main prize at the international “Hack4Sages” hackathon. The winning group also included Zofia Winnicka from Oxford University and Kacper Lisik from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. As their prize, the team will travel to the Origins Federation Conference 2026 in Switzerland.
