The future of dental implants is being created at WUT

Reactor for the preparation of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles

A team from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering led by Michał Wojasiński, PhD, will carry out the project “Ceramic biomimetic porous structure with bioactive hydrogel-hydroxyapatite filling for increased osseointegration” (acronym: Oss3H). The project received funding under the 12th Polish-Taiwanese competition for bilateral research projects, organized by Poland’s National Centre for Research and Development.

CoVHer: digital reconstruction of the past with participation of WUT

At the beginning of 2025, the three-year international project CoVHer (Computer-based Visualization of Architectural Cultural Heritage) was completed. The initiative brought together universities and institutions from five countries to work on new methods of digital reconstruction of historical monuments. Among the project partners was the Warsaw University of Technology, represented by a team of researchers from the Faculty of Architecture.

Graphene “blanket” for two-dimensional structures

Efforts to better utilise 2D materials continue. In their latest study published in “Acta Materialia”, our physicists examined unique structures just three atoms thick: molybdenum disulphide (MoS₂) and tungsten disulphide (WS₂). By applying a graphene layer, they aimed to determine how the physical properties of these structures would change.

Four podium finishes for the SAE AeroDesign Student Research Group

The SAE AeroDesign Student Research Group, operating within the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, has returned with great success from the international SAE Aero Design 2025 competition in the United States. The team competed in two categories—Advanced and Micro—and secured four medals, including two golds in the most demanding Advanced class.
