A new way to design medicine

A team from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology has developed a new medicine design procedure that can be applied when there is little experimental data available on the molecular mechanisms of a disease or ways to treat it. The developed procedure is the result of the work of student Stanisław Kulczyk and associate professor Dr. Mariola Koszytkowska-Stawińska.
New discovery of a black hole in the Milky Way

Scientists have detected a 'hot spot' orbiting Sagittarius A*, the black hole at the centre of our galaxy. The discovery was made by a team led, among others, by Maciej Wielgus, PhD Eng., Polish astronomer and graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.
Students’ idea of renting digital works of art

Students of the Warsaw University of Technology and of the San Francisco State University have developed an app A’RENT, which will support honest commercialization of artwork. This solution may also be used for typical trade operations, involving ownership transfer.
Oxygen-zinc materials of the future

Researchers from the Faculty of Chemistry have developed a method for producing zinc oxide (ZnO)–based nanomaterials from organometallic precursors. The technology was implemented and then developed by Nanoxo. The solution has a wide range of industrial applications, and it was recently recognized in a competition promoting Polish innovations.
Mobile mapping platform

Flight test of a student rocket FOK
