Sewage heat will heat WUT buildings?

Scientists from the Warsaw University of Technology want to use thermal energy from sewage to heat some University buildings. It is an important move towards circular economy.

Another important step forward in 2D materials research. Working in an international team of researchers, Jakub Sitek, PhD, from the PW Faculty of Physics, developed a new method which opens up the way to mass production of 2D materials based devices. The results of the team’s research were published in "ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces".

Visualization of quantum turbulence state in ultracold Fermi gas

Gabriel Wlazłowski, PhD, a university professor from the Faculty of Physics, utilized the capabilities of the LUMI supercomputer for conducting advanced research in the field of quantum mechanics. Our researcher has recently completed the project titled "Turbulent Dynamics in Superfluid Fermi Systems", conducted as part of the competition for pilot computing grants, which are implemented using the infrastructure of the most powerful European supercomputer.

Our University will cooperate with research units from South Korea: Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), Kyungpook National University (KNU) and Busan National University (PNU).
