A state-of-the-art Operating Room Simulation Laboratory has been established at WUT’s Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering. It is one of three unique and best-equipped research centers of this kind in Europe.

Bartosz Rylski, a second-year student at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (Aerospace Engineering), was the only representative from a Polish university to qualify for the prestigious European Space Agency (ESA) program. He participated in the launch campaign of a student rocket.

EasyGreen is a startup founded by a group of WUT graduates. The team has just completed work on a unique project—a hydroponic pot for growing herbs at home. The project was developed as part of the Mentoring Program, run by WUT's Careers Service, in cooperation with mentor Dawid Adach.
Our scientists in World’s TOP 2% Scientists 2023

The latest ranking World’s TOP 2% Scientists includes 77 academics from the Warsaw University of Technology. This is as many as 18 people more than last year. The list is prepared by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier and SciTech Strategies.
WUT's Institute of Heat Engineering building has been modernized

On September 18, this year, the renovated building of the Institute of Heat Engineering at WUT was officially opened for use. The ceremony marking the completion of the project was attended by representatives from the University's authorities, the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, Budimex—the general contractor of the project—and invited guests. The event took place at the Institute of Heat Engineering building at Nowowiejska Street in Warsaw.

In July NASA said that for financial reasons they are giving up the launch of the 433.5 billion dollars’ worth VIPER rover designed to search for natural resources on the south pole of the Moon. In view of these limitations at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, can we still dream about exploration of natural resources and searching for traces of life on Mars?
Closer to understanding the matter-antimatter asymmetry

A team from the WUT’s Faculty of Physics has published an article in Nature detailing the first experimental observation of an antihypernucleus. The research was conducted as part of the STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Our physicists, in collaboration with experts from Warsaw, Katowice, and Łódź, have investigated graphene-based nanocomposites that could be used in radiation protection materials. The results of their research have been published in Scientific Reports.

The innovative MindEasy app in a Google competition

Klara Skorupowska and Julia Nogowska, students at Warsaw University of Technology, are members of the team that developed MindEasy, an app designed to adapt educational materials to a student’s current psychophysical state. The app is competing in the Google Gemini API Developer Competition, and voting is open until the end of October!
Promotion of the Warsaw University of Technology in Silicon Valley

The Warsaw University of Technology, along with seven other Polish universities, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. The partnership will focus on strengthening collaboration between academic and industrial centers, commercializing research results, and promoting science.
WUT’s CMYK Student Research Group is working on a Braille typewriter

Students from the Warsaw University of Technology, working within the CMYK Student Research Group, aim to develop a Braille typewriter from scratch using readily available materials. The work is divided into two stages: copying existing solutions and then improving upon them.
WUT students awarded for a microhome design

In this year's seventh edition of the international MICROHOME Kingspan Edition competition, organized by Buildner, the jury distinguished the design proposal titled "Masurian Microhome." The authors are students from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology: Maksymilian Łuszcz, Paweł Wykowski, and Zofia Zimowska.
Students from WUT are developing a CanSat launcher

CanSats, which are miniature research probes shaped and sized like a soda can, conduct various scientific experiments. However, to carry out their missions, they need a launcher—a special device to propel them. This is exactly what students from the Balloon Division of the WUT’s Student Space Association are working on. The first launches are coming soon.

Is the smart campus at WUT getting closer?

An interdisciplinary team from the Warsaw University of Technology has begun work on the concept of creating a network of smart devices (equipped with IoT technology) on our Central Campus. One such device will be a "smart lantern," equipped with a set of sensors, actuators, and systems for communication with other similar devices. Implementing this solution will provide users of the WUT campus with various conveniences, such as reducing light pollution.
Innovative Solution in Cryptography – First Unitary Patent at WUT

This stands for a new standard in data security against unauthorized access. Our researchers have developed a generator of cryptographic keys (or simply "secret passwords") that offers greater security than ever before, while being easy to use and cost-efficient, even in highly demanding cases. The solution has been granted the first European patent with unitary effect at the Warsaw University of Technology.
