Three new grants from the National Science Centre PRELUDIUM BIS 4 programme will be implemented at the Warsaw University of Technology. This competition supports research projects carried out by PhD students as part of their doctoral dissertations.

The device for monitoring the vital signs of infants during sleep, which detects signs of cot death, was appreciated at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva. The idea received a gold medal from the international jury of the exhibition and a special prize from the National Scientific Council of Thailand.

New method for the production of quantum dots of zinc oxide

Nanocrystalline forms of zinc oxide demonstrate great application potential in optoelectronic and photovoltaic technologies. They can be used in medicine and nanodiagnostics, as well as as a luminescent pigment for paints and varnishes. A new method of producing this type of materials has been developed by WUT researchers.
The first urban aquaponic farm in Poland

Fresh, healthy and organically produced food right next to the house, and - on top of that - right in the city center – that is the main advantage of AquaFarm, which has opened in Wrocław. The undertaking was part of a Polish-Norwegian project in which the Warsaw University of Technology participates.

Prof. Krzysztof Kulpa, from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology has won the Theodore von Kárman Medal. The NATO Science and Technology Board (STB) appreciated our researcher's unique contribution to the field of radar technology.
Prof. Andrzej Strójwąs with the title of WUT's doctor honoris causa

Prof. Andrzej Strójwąs has received the title of doctor honoris causa of the Warsaw University of Technology. He is a world-renowned specialist in the field of statistical methods of design, control and diagnostics of the production process of VLSI/ULSI integrated circuits.
