The Warsaw University of Technology has been developing the technology of carbonate fuel cells for years. Another step in WUT scientists’ research is the development of a co-electrolyser for production of high quality synthetic gas.

Congratulations for students of the Faculty of Architecture

Zofia Wrona, student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science, was awarded the second prize in the AIR Institute competition for her project presentation "Extended Green Cloud Simulator".

Gabriel Wlazłowski, PhD, a university professor from the Faculty of Physics, utilized the capabilities of the LUMI supercomputer for conducting advanced research in the field of quantum mechanics. Our researcher has recently completed the project titled "Turbulent Dynamics in Superfluid Fermi Systems", conducted as part of the competition for pilot computing grants, which are implemented using the infrastructure of the most powerful European supercomputer.

For nearly two years, students from the Warsaw University of Technology have been working on decarbonization plans for Warsaw. The plans have been developed and presented. Now is the time to implement them.

Young researchers from the Warsaw University of Technology are working on a modular prosthesis for children. They plan to devote the coming months to the development of a research preprototype of their solution.

Promoting the nuclear industry and the need for cooperation in the development of human resources in this field – these were the main topics discussed during the visit of representatives from the Visegrad Group countries to South Korea. Representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology participated in the 12th International Conference on Guidance, Navigation & Control Systems (GNC) – 9th International Conference on Astrodynamics Tools and Techniques (ICATT). They presented papers on the flagship projects of the Student Space Association: the PW-Sat3 satellite and the FOK guided rocket.

Our University will cooperate with research units from South Korea: Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), Kyungpook National University (KNU) and Busan National University (PNU). Letters of intent in this matter on behalf of the WUT were signed by the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski.

A new building was erected in the Royal Łazienki Park - it is the Freedom Pavilion. It was built by students and lecturers from the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, but the project itself brought together many communities and institutions.

PhD students from the Warsaw University of Technology have figured out how to make recovery from a limb fracture shorter and less strenuous. In their PulseLAYERS project, they decided to use printed electrostimulation layers.

A team of young scientists wants to use holographic microscopy to monitor immunotherapy. Work is currently underway to develop a prototype solution.

Architects from the Warsaw University of Technology have addressed the problem of noise in the city and are changing the centre of Warsaw. They’ve started with Plac Politechniki, where for the holiday period they have introduced a new function: HA-LAS.

In the special 20^th edition of QS World University Ranking, the Warsaw University of Technology has been ranked 571. We also have the 172^nd global ranking in the employer reputation category. 

How to ensure energy independence in villages? Students from the Student Research Group of Bioeconomy have come up with an idea and they ran in the competition Bio-based Innovation Student Challenge Europe (BISC-E).

Green transport at your fingertips? Thanks to a project by PhD students from the Warsaw University of Technology, it is possible.

The project by Michal Karelus and Michal Niedzielczyk from the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering consists of an inflatable rescue buoy and an ejection system. Its important advantage is that providing assistance does not require direct contact with the victim.

ENHANCE – The European Universities of Technology Alliance receives new Erasmus+ funding to continue its work on the European Universities initiative. Warsaw University of Technology is one of the ENHANCE members.

A state-of-the-art infrastructure with a computing centre and a number of specialised laboratories has been established on the grounds of Warsaw University of Technology in Warsaw and the Scientific and Didactic Centre in Józefosław.

Doctoral students from the Warsaw University of Technology came up with the idea how to support patients struggling to regain their health and fitness after oxygen therapy. The solution uses simple tools and… gamification.

Doctoral students from the Warsaw University of Technology created teams whose task was to prepare innovative technological solutions that could be later implemented. The programme is over but this does not mean that the work is over. On the contrary.

Professor Mateusz Malanowski from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology received an award for the best paper at the conference NATO SET-298 "Electronic Attack and Protection from Modern Active/Passive Netted Radars".

WiseBuild – a digital conceptual solutions assistant – allows clients to actively participate in designing their own energy-efficient house. It is an alternative to catalogue designs, invented as part of a Master’s thesis at the PW Faculty of Architecture. The author is Damian Granosik.
