Our University welcomed Prof. M. Stanley Whittingham – winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He received an honorary doctorate from the Warsaw University of Technology, and also met with representatives of the University of Technology and gave an open lecture.

Stanley Whittingham – a world-renowned chemist, co-founder of lithium-ion battery technology and 2019 Nobel Prize winner was awarded a honoris causa doctorate from the Warsaw University of Technology. The widespread use of cars poses a challenge in organizing traffic in cities. It also makes it difficult to work on maps created from satellite pictures. Szymon Bogus from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology has found a solution to this problem. Artificial Intelligence has turned out to be the key to success.
