Students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mechanics and Petrochemistry have developed a concept for the expansion of the Municipal Zoological Garden in Płock. New facilities with a leisure zone would be built on the slope of the Vistula River escarpment.

Success in sport is determined by details. Scientists are increasingly helping sportspeople to find reserves and advantages. Track cyclists from the Poland team came to the Warsaw University of Technology to participate in the research. They were looking for the right equipment settings and the optimal position on the bike. They will use the results in training and competitions.

The Best Paper Award 2022 for an article published in the journal "Control Engineering Practice" went to the authors from the Warsaw University of Technology: Waldemar Kołodziejczyk (a graduate of WUT) and Dr Izabela Żółtowska and Dr Paweł Cichosz from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology.

We increase cooperation with Ukrainian universities

The Warsaw University of Technology will receive additional funds for cooperation with Ukrainian universities. An agreement in this area was signed by the WUT Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Jan Słyk and Director of the NAWA Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, Dawid Kostecki, PhD.

Researchers from the Faculty of Physics of the Warsaw University of Technology and Białystok University, thanks to their cooperation with Japanese and Dutch scientists, have proposed a novel method of recording 3D holographic images. The results of their work were published in „Nature Communications”.

Teodor Sawicki and Katarzyna Połczyńska from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering and the Power Engineering Student Research Group have developed a project of a microgrid powered only with renewable energy sources. Such a solution could provide energy self-sufficiency for buildings and even for cities.
