Dr inż. Piotr Prochoń of the Faculty of Civil Engineering has defended a prestigious double PhD dissertation, obtaining a PhD degree at the Warsaw University of Technology and at Belgium’s Université de Liège, where he completed a three year PhD study program (2017-2020).

In the latest "Web of Universities” list presenting universities with the best online visibility, the Warsaw University of Technology ranked 512th worldwide (up by 22 notches). Also, it is Poland’s fourth most visible university.

On the 11th of February 2021 (Thursday), the International Students Office of Warsaw University of Technology will take part in virtual fairs organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). This time, we will present our offer of studies to candidates from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Creating services to empower SMEs to develop new products and unique business models is the main objective of a project pursued by a partnership including the WUT Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management (CZIiTT). The initiative has just received PLN 2.4 million of European Union funding.

This time, they were recognized in the international competition entitled: “Offshore Windfarms: Development Trends and Visions” organized by the Maritime Academy in Szczecin.

Mgr inż. Jakub Kutyła, who graduated from the WUT Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 2020, came in second in the international competition entitled: “Offshore Windfarms: Development Trends and Visions” organized by the Maritime University in Szczecin and the Marshall’s Office of the Western Pomerania Region, in collaboration with the Polish Wind Energy Association.

Places dominated by concrete surfaces appear environmentally unfriendly and seem to be at odds with the sustainable development ideal. A project by the WUT Faculty of Civil Engineering and F.B.I. Tasbud S.A. may change this perception – all thanks to innovative precast surface elements.
