The challenge was taken up by the international MOCOS (MOdelling COronavirus Spread) interdisciplinary team established by Professor Tyll Kruger of the Wrocław University of Technology. Project participants include the MI2DataLab group headed by dr. hab. inż. Przemysław Biecek, Warsaw University of Technology Professor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science.

It was a very special day – On 6 December 2019 the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology hosted the premiere of e-MaksPower, a vehicle built by our students for a 10 year-old automobile fan suffering from muscle atrophy. The engine uses fuel gases which have not been combusted in piston engines before. It is distinguished by its exceptionally high efficiency and therefore low CO2 emission rate. Kamil Dąbrowski, an automatics and robotics student at the WUT Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, was ranked third thanks to his engineering thesis on the analysis of the tank heating system for a cold gas engine in the PW-Sat3 satellite.

Two Years Since the Launch of PW-Sat2

On 3 December 2018 at 7:32 pm, the second student-built satellite from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) was launched into orbit. During its mission, it carried out all planned experiments, including the most important one, i.e. a successful test of the innovative deorbit sail. We are currently waiting for the deorbiting of PW-Sat2 and the launch of its successor, i.e. PW-Sat3.
