All benches located by the fountain on our Central Campus have been assigned a patron. Thus, we have completed a three-year project, implemented under the “The Independent” (“Niepodległa”) Programme.

The Warsaw University of Technology has become one of the 10 beneficiaries of the prestigious “STER – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools” programme of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The program, scheduled to last 3 years, is aimed at increasing international cooperation of WUT Doctoral Schools.

The engine uses fuel gases which have not been combusted in piston engines before. It is distinguished by its exceptionally high efficiency and therefore low CO₂ emission rate. This is the engine that is being developed by researchers from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and their partners from the industry.

On the night of the 11th to the 12th of December 2020, Warsaw University of Technology will take part in the next virtual fairs organised by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). This time, we will present our offer to candidates from Latin America.

By the decision of the Jury of the Symbol 2020 program, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology was awarded the 2020 Symbol of Modern Education title.

Kamil Dąbrowski, an automatics and robotics student at the WUT Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, was ranked third thanks to his engineering thesis on the analysis of the tank heating system for a cold gas engine in the PW-Sat3 satellite.

On 3 December 2018 at 7:32 pm, the second student-built satellite from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) was launched into orbit. During its mission, it carried out all planned experiments, including the most important one, i.e. a successful test of the innovative deorbit sail. We are currently waiting for the deorbiting of PW-Sat2 and the launch of its successor, i.e. PW-Sat3.

The competition jury has recognized the Warsaw University of Technology for its e-MaksPower project, where students built an electric vehicle for Maks, a young boy with disabilities.

During the pandemic, there are alternative ways of promoting studies at Warsaw University of Technology. Together with thirty Polish universities and academic institutions, we took part in three Virtual Education Fairs organised by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

Under the influence of an electric field, it increases its viscosity in a very short time and creates... a solid. This is the main property of the electrorheological fluid. Over the years, it has found a number of applications, but a good theoretical explanation of its creation was missing. Until now. Everything changed thanks to a group from the Faculty of Physics at the Warsaw University of Technology.

We teach remotely, we reduce face-to-face contacts, we do not organize offline events, but one thing has not changed: we do celebrate the Warsaw University of Technology Day. On November 15, 1915, the first academic year with Polish as the language of instruction started at our University. To commemorate this event, on November 16, 2020 we met online at a formal session of the WUT Senate.

The student community of Warsaw University of Technology will be represented in the managing bodies of the ENHANCE Alliance – the European University Alliance.

The Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology on 21st of October of 2020 signed the Memorandum of Understanding with CERN allowing WUT to become a full member of the AEgIS Collaboration.
