WUT was ranked the 686^th (up 31 places) in the international CWUR (The Center for World University Ranking). We took the fifth position in Poland, three universities and one research institute were classified ahead of us.

In tribute to Stanisław Moniuszko on the 200^th anniversary of his birth".

Four top places were taken by representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology in the national Student Structures Competition (KOKOS).

A special award for our student

The International Students Office kindly invites all international candidates for studies at WUT from Arab countries for virtual education fairs organized on April 22 by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Warsaw University of Technology will be one of 50 Polish universities taking part in the fairs.

Kamil Załęgowski, PhD, Eng, from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology reached the finals of the 19^th edition of the CEMEX Förderpreis Beton Central Europe 2020 competition. 

They started working on the project in October 2018. As they admit, they were inspired by the successes of their older fellow students - the creators of PW-Sat - the first Polish satellite in space and PW-Sat2, which successfully tested the deorbital sail - a possible solution to the problem of space debris. Due to the announced lifting of some restrictions in Poland, as of 5 May 2021, the WUT Rector’s letter of 26 March 2021 shall expire. As of that day, the Warsaw University of Technology shall work in accordance with restrictions level two.

A few years ago, Ewelina Zaremba studied aeronautical and aerospace engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, where she created the 3D Printing Research Circle and was its head for a year. Today she is among the finalists of the third edition of the ”25 under 25” competition, honouring talented people under the age of 25.

Practical, convenient, and environmentally friendly – these are the main advantages of straws made from coffee grounds. Starbucks Poland and EcoBean, a spin-off from the Faculty of Chemistry at WUT, intend to implement a pioneering idea into the Polish coffee shop market.

Piotr Person, Olga Czeranowska-Panufnik, Władysława Kijewska and Aleksander Sojka from the Doctoral School No. 5 of the Warsaw University of Technology have won an architectural and urban planning competition for the development of post-industrial areas in the Czech city of Nachod. The new district is to become a showcase of Czech urban planning.

The standards of total inhalable dust in the exhaust gases are exceeded many times over, the concentrations of carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides are significantly exceeded, the emission of carcinogenic benzo (a) pyrene - these are the main findings of the research on eco-pea coal, which was carried out by a team supervised by Artur Badyda, PhD, DSc Associate Professor at Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering.
