This year’s virtual Christmas event organized by the One Day foundation saw the launch of the Usamodzielnieni app. It is a tool developed by a WUT team to support young adults leaving educational care facilities and starting an independent life as adults.

The challenge was taken up by the international MOCOS (MOdelling COronavirus Spread) interdisciplinary team established by Professor Tyll Kruger of the Wrocław University of Technology. Project participants include the MI2DataLab group headed by dr. hab. inż. Przemysław Biecek, Warsaw University of Technology Professor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science.

Ecology and cutting-edge technology – the new engine of a WUT team

The engine uses fuel gases which have not been combusted in piston engines before. It is distinguished by its exceptionally high efficiency and therefore low CO2 emission rate. This is the engine that is being developed by researchers from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and their partners from the industry.
