Functioning of the Warsaw University of Technology during the COVID-19 epidemic is regulated by the Rector’s Regulation no. 110/2021 with the changes introduced by the Rector's Regulation No. 25/2022. The recommendations were included in the Rector's Notice No. 2/2022.

We would like to invite students, doctoral candidates, academics and administrative staff to take part in the Second Language Tandem Kick-Off Meeting that will take place on November 25. During the meeting, we will present the project and explain how you can use it to learn foreign languages.

He has been rollerblading and skating since he was a child. Until recently - without great success. But for a year now, this has been changing. So much so that Marek Kania – a student of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering – is today in the national team of speed skaters, and stands a good chance to perform in the most important sports event in the world.

A special award in an international competition

In the Large Auditorium in the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology you can see the exhibition "CLEANTECH - Technology for a Green Future", presenting innovative solutions of Swiss researchers and entrepreneurs in the field of clean technologies.

Its main tasks include assisting in the development of accessibility policy at the University and outside of it, conducting innovative, interdisciplinary research, preparing expert opinions, training, education, and awareness.

Mariya Gabriel - responsible in the European Commission for innovation, research, culture, education and youth came to Poland. She visited The Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT, where she spoke with our researchers who introduced the guests to modern semiconductor and biotechnology laboratories.

The project of the NICA accelerator and detector complex and the activities of the NICA-PL consortium were the main topics of the meeting with Grigory V. Trubnikov - Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, who visited the Warsaw University of Technology. 

Bartosz Źrebiec, a student of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, was the only representative of a Polish university to qualify for the prestigious ESA program and took part in the student rocket launch campaign.

The design of a nursing home in Powsin for elderly people by Katarzyna Szmołda from the Faculty of Architecture was appreciated by the organizers of the competition promoting modern solutions for sustainable construction. An honorable mention was awarded in the category of the Best Student Ecological Design.

The jury of the “Common space is a value” (Przestrzeń wspólna jest wartością) competition by The National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning awarded three works created at our Faculty of Architecture.

Artur Kasprzak, Ph.D. Eng. from the Faculty of Chemistry was awarded for his doctoral dissertation entitled "Functional materials based on magnetic carbon nanocapsules - synthesis and application in nanomedicine, electrochemistry and heterogeneous catalysis".

This summer, the 5th edition of the Team for the Future of NICA (TeFeNICA) internship program has come to an end. Filip Protoklitow (supervisor) and Krystian Rosłon (head of the Engineering Support for the MPD Installation Sector) told us more about the idea of the internship and its latest edition.

Researches from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology have developed a prototype of the Mobile Distribution Point of ICT Infrastructure (MPDIT). For the 12th time in a row, the rowing eight representing the Warsaw University of Technology defeated the team from the University of Warsaw. The jubilee, the 70th race was held on October 9, 2021 during the 5th Warsaw Amateur Rowing Championships.

Each year, around 185 thousand people worldwide undergo amputation. It is estimated that this number will double by 2050. A team from the Warsaw University of Technology is working on a universal and cheap hand prosthesis, the elements of which would be replaceable and could "grow" with the user.

WUT Foreign Language Center – as a partner in an international consortium – was granted the funding from the Erasmus+ programme to develop an innovative model for teaching English at the tertiary level.

One of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world - "Nature" - published an article by prof. Mariusz Zdrojek from the Faculty of Physics. Our researcher was invited by the editor to comment on groundbreaking research on heat management in layered materials.

As part of the project carried out with LOTOS Asfalt, the Faculty of Civil Engineering is developing an asphalt binder technology that will allow the reuse of materials from road renovation.

Two weeks of creative work, 33 students from all universities involved  in the Enhance consortium and joint efforts in order to define the problems related to the climate change – this summarizes  the core of the ENHANCE Summer School on Climate Change organized by  Warsaw University of Technology.
