Representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology participated in the 12th International Conference on Guidance, Navigation & Control Systems (GNC) – 9th International Conference on Astrodynamics Tools and Techniques (ICATT). They presented papers on the flagship projects of the Student Space Association: the PW-Sat3 satellite and the FOK guided rocket.

Our University will cooperate with research units from South Korea: Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), Kyungpook National University (KNU) and Busan National University (PNU). Letters of intent in this matter on behalf of the WUT were signed by the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski.

A new building was erected in the Royal Łazienki Park - it is the Freedom Pavilion. It was built by students and lecturers from the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, but the project itself brought together many communities and institutions.

The project by Michal Karelus and Michal Niedzielczyk from the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering consists of an inflatable rescue buoy and an ejection system. Its important advantage is that providing assistance does not require direct contact with the victim.

The exhibition "The Poetics of Necessity", curated by Zofia Jaworowska, Michał Sikorski (urban architect from the Warsaw University of Technology) and Petro Vladimirov, was awarded at the Design Biennale in London.

This is one of the most notable space projects of recent months. JUICE is an unmanned spacecraft designed to provide information about Jupiter and its moons. The project involves Polish companies, universities and institutions, including the Warsaw University of Technology.

Jacek Sikorski, PhD - that has a proud ring to it! This young researcher is the first person at the Warsaw University of Technology who has completed and defended a doctoral thesis in a new system – no longer as part of the third-cycle studies, but at the Doctoral School. 

A representative of the Warsaw University of Technology was distinguished in a national competition for gifted and successful students. He received the award in the category of Technical sciences.

It is nanocrystalline, fireproof and has high entropy. Thanks to this it may be used, for example, in nuclear power engineering or space industry. Such alloy is studied by an international research team, which includes a researcher from the Warsaw University of Technology.

Three new grants from the National Science Centre PRELUDIUM BIS 4 programme will be implemented at the Warsaw University of Technology. This competition supports research projects carried out by PhD students as part of their doctoral dissertations.
