For the past few months, a group of students of the Faculty of Architecture has been working on the "Water Asylum" project. Their efforts have resulted in an installation that can be viewed in the immediate vicinity of the ZODIAK Pavilion.

Can scientists find inspiration for their work in popular culture? Yes, of course! This occurred in the case of a WUT Faculty of Physics project. George Lucas' films inspired researchers to develop a solution that can help improve the vision of the elderly.

Even up to 60 million people worldwide do not have a fragment of a limb, and are in need of prosthesis. But this is a truly complex process, requiring a lot of time and money. Researchers from several teams of the Warsaw University of Technology have joined forces to find an alternative to the solutions currently applied. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Alzheimer's disease, Lassa haemorrhagic fever, breathing therapy – this list looks like doctor’s notes or an excerpt from a medical student’s handbook, right? Think again. All these are areas that doctoral student teams at Warsaw University of Technology have been engaged with over the past few months.

Eight institutions, including our University, will create a Network of Autonomous Technology Polygons (SPTA). The letter of intent in this matter was signed on 9 June 2022 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure. The Warsaw University of Technology was represented there by the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba.

Imaging cells is a daunting task due to their size and transparent interior. Holographic tomography proves helpful, as well as digital models and real phantoms of 3D cells developed by WUT researchers.

Success of the SAE AeroDesign Science Club

Warsaw University of Technology participated in one of the leading conferences in Europe, devoted to aspects of security and defense policy and the armaments sector. Scientists from WUT presented their projects, participated in discussions, meetings and debates. Our University was one of the main partner of the event.

The team from the Warsaw University of Technology, the Polish Academy of Sciences and the University of Warsaw want to help in the treatment of brain tumours and the elimination of side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Teams from the Scientific Circle of Bridge Builders from the Faculty of Civil Engineering were locked in a gripping duel for victory in the nationwide competition wyKOMBinuj mOst (contrive a bridge). Eventually, the PWniaczka team won, beating the record of the competition at the same time. The other two teams ranked second and fourth.
