The Vehicle Aerodynamics Students’ Academic Circle – 321 kilometres per one litre

The vehicle designed by the Vehicle Aerodynamics Students’ Academic Circle (pol. SKAP - Studenckie Koło Aerodynamiki Pojazdów) – Kropelka 2.0 (Droplet) – made 321,32 kilometres using only 1 litre of fuel, during the Shell Eco-marathon Challenger contest. WUT students took fourth place in the competition.

Piotr Samczyński, D.Sc. Eng., from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, has received the Fred Nathanson Memorial Radar Award for outstanding contribution to the field of passive radar imaging. Samczyński became the first Pole awarded in the contest’s history.

In three weeks they created a full-size openwork replica of the Ferrari Lusso. They did it using 3D pens and this is just one of the many projects, on which they have worked or are still working. The queue of people counting on support for subsequent initiatives is still growing.
